4 Canadian Bridal Designers You’ll Love

Would you believe me if I told you that there is some *excellent* South Asian bridal shopping in Canada?

You heard me right! Not India—Canada.

I was skeptical when I first heard that. I also bought ALL of my outfits on a Surrey shopping trip.

After the wedding was done and over with, I kept up the wedding research (obvs). I genuinely couldn’t believe how incredible these designers were. Hidden from us in plain sight!

There are way more than you’ll see on this list, but I’m going to start you off with my 4 favorites.

Zardozi Couture

Zardozi Couture’s designs are ethereal, elegant, and available in both traditional and fashion-forward styles. That feather trend that you see all over 2020 brides? Zardozi Couture brides were wearing ‘em first.

The best part is that you can get one-of-a-kind customized outfit, meaning that you won’t stumble across a lookalike or knock-off on the ‘Gram.

Zardozi Couture is based in Brampton, Ontario and you can checkout their Instagram page for loads of inspiration and lehnga eye-candy.

Most of Poonam’s designs are customizable from color to style but with the originals as beautiful as they are, why mess with perfection?

Harkiran Basra

What do you get from a Harkiran Basra custom outfit? Think traditional silhouettes with modern touches through design and color.

Side note: I’d never recommend that you wait super close to your wedding to get your outfits made, but she has helped brides in a bind in the past – we’re talking 6 weeks out from the wedding day. That kind of customer service in addition to the gorgeous outfit? Sold!

Mani Jassal

If you’re a bride who likes to push the limits and is on the hunt for outfits that are fashion forward and bold, then Mani Jassal is for you.

Shop blouses that boast bustiers, deep V-cuts, and one shoulder. Peruse her collection of floral and monochromatic outfits that manage to be both simple and intricate (and sexy) at the same time.

She is also the only designer in this list who has a storefront (Toronto).
