NY shopping guide illustrated

Your South Asian shopping sleuth is reporting for duty! This time, I’m taking you on an exploration of vibrant designers from the bustling streets of New York.

Before we jump in, close your eyes and imagine it with me…jampacked traffic; the bright lights of Times Square; the delicious smell of hot dogs at every street corner (before you judge, how refined do you expect my NC palate to be?!).

The point is, shopping in NY means wedding shopping *plus* a fun vacation, all rolled into one. And being prepared with this list means you can plan your trip to fit in fun and business accordingly.

Let’s talk about the bridal styles that the Big Apple has to offer—luckily, you’ll find a spectrum. From household names like Anita Dongre and Sabyasachi (whose flagship store is opening on October 16, 2022!) to our US-based favorites like Harleen Kaur and bisouNYC, there are designers to fit every taste and budget.

If these NY spots don’t do it for you, make the easy trek to NJ to scope out the shops there

*Terra Inde was formerly on this list; they are now located in Boston.
