Confession. 🤚🏾 I didn’t have bridesmaids at my wedding.

A lifetime of introversion and fickle friendships meant that leading up to my wedding, my closest people were my then-fiancé/now-husband, my family, and my dogs.

I didn’t consider having family in my bridal party, either. The older generations bred like rabbits (there are SO MANY of us—50 aunts, uncles, and first cousins on my mom’s side alone), and a huge bridal party felt like a gateway for drama and unwanted opinions.

The point being that I didn’t have bridesmaids, so I didn’t buy any bridesmaids gifts.
