How Much Do Sabyasachi Bridal Lehengas Cost? See The Numbers

Spoiler alert: They ain’t cheap.
Â
This is, after all, the most famous Indian bridal designer on the planet. He dresses the likes of Isha Ambani (AKA daughter of the 10th richest man in the world), Priyanka Chopra, and Deepika Padukone. And if you, like so many others, want the crème de la crème of South Asian fashion, to revel in the royal luxury that *is* the Sabyasachi brand, it doesn’t get any better than being ”the bride who wore Sabyasachi.”
It’s one thing to want to wear a Sabyasachi bridal lehenga. But being able to afford it? That’s another question entirely.
Â
Before you plan your shopping trip to the NYC store and pass out from sticker shock, I’m going to give you the lowdown on how much a Sabyasachi bridal lehenga can run you.
If you’re curious about the higher end of what a Sabyasachi bridal lehenga costs, we’re talking a whopping $30,000—that’s new car money!
Â
For those of us who aren’t in the 1%, the lower end for a bridal lehenga starts at around $2,500 and goes up from there. From the research that I’ve done, the average brides spend for their ceremony lehenga is around $5,000-$7,000. For reference, my own bridal lehenga (from a boutique in Surrey, BC, Canada called Made In India) was $1,500.Â
A great way to stay on top of pricing without having to physically travel to the NYC store is by checking the 2 official US stockists of Sabyasachi designer wear: Cali’s The Grand Trunk US and My Bollywood Closet USA in Atlanta (the above pictures are from My Bollywood Closet).
If you eat, sleep, and breathe the Sabyasachi brand, then perhaps it is. Keep in mind that the Sabyasachi bridal shopping experience is designed to be like none other, and that you’re getting more than just a name for what you spend.Â
Â
Personally, Sabyasachi’s simply too rich for my blood. And knowing what I know now about this huge, once nebulous world of South Asian fashion, you can still feel like royalty wearing different designers for much less.Â

Do you think Sabyasachi lehengas are worth the price? I’d love to hear your take in the comments below!
