2 major things must have happened at the Pantone offices in 2021; first, the people responsible for the 2021 colors of the year were fired (ultimate gray and yellow? Really?!).
Second, everyone else at Pantone got their sh* together to create a brand new, Dulhan-esque (humility isn’t my thing in 2022), gorgeous color—Very Peri.
In the words of Pantone, Very Peri “encourages personal inventiveness and creativity,” which, tbh, are necessary skills to have now that we’re entering calendar year 3 of the pandemic. 😞
It’s also the perfect complement to the whimsy that we’re seeing in other 2022 trends, like the soaring popularity of Papa Don’t Preach-inspired fashion, escapist wedding themes, and cottagecore everything.
Suffice to say, I’m crazy for this color, especially if it’s for any (or all) of your wedding outfits.
Caveat: most of the outfits listed here fall somewhere along the purple spectrum and aren’t necessarily the *exact* shade of Very Peri. But with each color more bewitching than the last, you can’t go wrong no matter what variation of purple you choose.
